BONIFACE NKUNDA

I was born, raised and leave at the Slope of Mount Meru (15,000ft count the 5th highest mountain in Africa). I attended the College of African Wildlife Management, with a major in Natural Resources management and Biodiversity conservation. I did different fields work in different type of protected Areas in Tanzania hence gave me plenty of experience. Since 2009, I became a professional mountain and safari guide. I'm also certified in Wilderness first Responder and speak English, Kiswahili, and my Mother tongue Kihaya and Kihaya.

Professional Experience:
2009 - Present
Freelance working as Expedition Guide in different outfitters specialize in Mountain Climbing, Safari and Walking Safaris. My job is to supervise any outdoor expedition support duties which also incorporated in briefing about the itinerary, mountain gear checking and the liaison between clients to the office. I am also doing interpretation to diverse group of people about natiral resources in correspondence of Does and don’t of the protected areas.

2012 - 2013: Certificate in wildlife management; the Collage of African wildlife management, Mweka.

Skill and Training:
May, 2018: Attended Advanced Mount Kilimanjaro Interpretation and Resources Identification, Customer Care at the College of African Wildlife Management.
November, 2017: Attended Advanced Mountaineering and Skying at USA with Mountain Madness
April and November 2014: Fire and Weapon Training; at the ministry of Home affairs, Tanzania Police Force - Field Force Unit at Arusha. I did this mainly for conducting walking safaris in Ngorongoro and Serengeti so as to be familiar with the use and storing fire arms. The training has to be done every year.
April 2009: Attended Mount Kilimanjaro Natural Resources Identification and Interpretation, Customer Care as well as Basic First Aid. It's then I awarded a Full Routs Mountain Climbing Guide License.
2007 Wilderness First Responder course; The course taught by Medicine professionals and outdoor leader of wilderness Medicines institute of NOLs and Sentinel Outdoor Institute Medicines from US. The course re-certified every year aiming to provide the updated information needed for preventing, recognizing and treating medical and traumatic emergency encountered in remote settings.
Awards:
2016: Awarded the Cup as the Best Mountain Climbing Guide of the Year in Tanzania

MHINA SALUM SHAABAN

I was born and raised on the western base of the Eastern Arc and Usambara Mountains (one of the words Biodiversity Hot Spots). I now live in Arusha with wife and 2 children. I chose to be a Expedition leader because I love to express to clients all about nature and culture of different
tribe in my country.
Initially I trained to be a primary school Teacher in 1995-1997, but 2000-2004 I switched to be Wildlife Manage and attended the college of Africa Wildlife Management and awarded Advance Diploma Credential in wildlife management, with a major in Natural Resources management and Biodiversity conservation. The field work conducted in different type of protected Areas in Tanzania hence gave me plenty of experience. Since 2004 I then became a professional mountain and safari guide. I'm also certified in Wilderness first Responder and speak English, Kiswahili, and my Mother tongue, Kizigua.
